Things to Do in January & February

  • While town does quiet down in January and February, there are still a lot of things to do in Cape May in the winter months.  February is actually quite busy with Valentine’s day and Presidents’ Weekend and most of the restaurants and shops are open during this time.   These are the perfect months to plan a romantic Cape May Getaway.
  • Hop on one of the famous Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts, Green & Red Trolleys for a Cape May Trolley Tour (weekends)

  • Visit one of the many wineries:  Cape May Winery, Willow Creek Winery, Hawk Haven Winery or Natali Vineyards (open year round)
  • Check out one of the delicious year round restaurants:  Tisha’s, Blue Pig Tavern, Fin’s Bar & Grill, The Ugly Mug, Mad Batter, Lucky Bones, Lobster House or The Brown Room Bar at Congress Hall.  Weekends only:  Peter Shields, Washington Inn, Oyster Bar Steak & Seafood, The Blue Rose or Sapore Italiano.
  • Tour the Emlen Physick Estate on a Saturday
  • Concerts at the Mission Inn:  January 19 – Abbie Gardner; February 16 – The Honeyhawks (contact info@missioninn.net for reservations)
  • Comedy unCorked at Willow Creek Winery – January 19, February 16
  • Visit the Zoo – open daily, year round – free admission!
  • 3rd Monday in January – Martin Luther King’s day – make it a long weekend!
  • Roller Skating at Convention Hall – Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays
  • Take a Cape May Brewing Company tour – 12 noon to 8 PM
  • Pamper yourself at Cape May Day Spa
  • Wine and Chocolate Wine Trail Weekends at Hawk Haven Winery – Saturdays and Sundays in February
  • Chocolate Lover’s Feast at Washington Inn – February 16 
  • Crafts and Collectibles at Cape May Convention Center – February 16-17
  • Beach Plum Farm’s Farm to Table Valentines Day Dinner Series
  • Tie in President’s Weekend with Valentines Day for a romantic weekend for two
